Lac de St Guerin - the chalet is located on the route de St Guerin and if you continue up the road you come to the reservoir.   Although closed to traffic in the winter, at all other times of year this is a stunning location for a stroll; and if you drive even further up to the valley head, you will reach a small natural pool which is a lovely spot for a picnic.

Lac de Roselend - the largest of the 3 local reservoirs. The electricity is processed down in Albertville and provides electricity for much of the Rhone Alps. The reservoir itself is really impressive and it's worth visiting in the summer, there are numerous walks around the area. Swimming is prohibited but one can rent paddle boards during the summer season.

The Co-operative - Beaufort cheese is still made entirely in the town with milk from the local cows. There is a small exhibition area, a shop and viewing gallery where one can watch the cheese being made. A tour of the huge vaults where the cheese is left to mature is also available and well worth a visit.

Swimming pool - the Beaufort pool is beautifully clean and well run. There is a slide and a number of pools for little ones and a deeper 'lane' pool for grown ups.

horse riding - Open all summer at the Base de loisirs de Marcot. All abilities catered for, from little promenades of  15mins up to a whole day trek around the mountains. from 7years+  

Climbing - Abseiling and climbing tution can be arranged on the climbing wall in Beaufort. For those who are competent and have a head for heights why not challenge yourself to do the Via Ferrata. There is a line to hook into which spans 2 peaks and the views are extraordinary.
