In the apartment there are games, toys, books and dvd's. Downstairs in the games room there's table football, and a number of sledges and bum boards.
There is a booster seat and travel cot in the apartment for babies, however please be aware that there are 2 sets of stairs and we do not have stairgates.
Out and about there's plenty for kids to do. In the summer months there's a leisure park, with bouncy castles, trampolines, as well as playground and cafe. This area is also the location of a tree top adventure trail (www.tyrolaventure73.fr) and horse riding for all ages and abilities (07 77 05 84 74)
There's an outdoor swimming pool in Beaufort with slide and kiddie pool; a brand new, indoor complex can be found in Les Saisies, as can a self propelled mountain roller coaster called the Mountatin Twister.
For teenagers there are mountain bike and scooter trails; equipment and tuition can be arranged locally (04 79 38 16 12). The chairlifts run during the summer, and will take your bike up for you. Climbing and abseiling tuition from an experienced instructor can be arranged on the climbing wall in Beaufort and for those with lots of experience and a head for heights, there is the Via Ferrata, though bear in mind this is not for the faint hearted.
In the winter of course there is skiing. The ski school operates from Le Planay. There's a large nursery slope in a sheltered position and the older, more competant kids will be taken up the mountain where there are 2 ski cross runs, a moon park and a range of slopes.
There is a creche in Arêches which is open during the ski season, Sunday to Friday, and takes little ones from 18 months old. You can book half days, full days, lunches etc.. and these can be booked in conjuction with ski school. There is also a creche in Beaufort which is open all year round and plenty of local childminders; the tourist office in the centre of the village has further details.
